珍稀濒危植物的保护和可持续利用是当前人们关注的重要问题之一。绿孢鹿角蕨(Platycerium wallichii Hooker)为具有较高观赏价值的国家二级保护蕨类植物,水龙骨科鹿角蕨属我国唯一分布物种。附生于旱季和雨季分明的热带季节性雨林中的绿孢鹿角蕨具有典型的二型叶。伴随着降水的季节性变化,营养叶和孢子叶不仅在叶片形态、叶片寿命、生长季节及光合能力等方面表现出显著差异,并在不同的季节在光合作用特性上较好地互补而完美地完成其生命周期。绿孢鹿角蕨独特的叶型分化及其对水分和光照独特的适应性为研究附生蕨类的生态适应和进化提供了一个独特的范例。然而绿孢鹿角蕨两型叶是如何完美搭配从而适应生境中的水分及光照变化的生理机制尚不明确。本项目拟通过野外观测和同质园试验,对绿孢鹿角蕨的叶片结构、光合特性、水分利用策略进行研究,阐明绿孢鹿角蕨对光照和水分的适应性策略,进而为其保护和可持续开发利用提供科学依据

Conservation and sustainable utilization of Rare and endangered plants is one of the most important issues nowadays. Platycerium wallichii Hooker is one of the most high-end ornamental fern, the only species of the genus in China. It was ranked as the National Secondary Protection Species. Epiphyte in seasonal rain forest with distinct rain season and dry season, Platycerium wallichii has obvious different trophophyll and sporophyll in their morphology, longevity, growing season, and photosynthetic capacity. Moreover, their photosynthesis cooperated well in different season to fulfill the species life. The typical morphology characters and its special way to adapt to water and light make Platycerium wallichii as a quite unique case to study the ecological evolution and adaption of epiphyte fern. While how the dimorphic fronds of Platycerium wallichii adapt to the water and light changes in the nature still not clear. Our project is plan to study the light and water adaption of Platycerium wallichii by the frond morphology, photosynthetic characters, water use strategy research in wild observation and homogeneous garden test, to clarify its environmental adaptive strategy to the light and water, then provide scientific basis for the protection and sustainable exploitation of Platycerium wallichii.
