中日纳米医学研讨会是一个系列性年会，自2013年以来，每年一次，由中国和日本轮流主办。中日双边组委会成员共同决定2016年在日本召开第四届日本-中国纳米医学研讨会，以进一步加深并扩大中日双边纳米医学领域的交流与合作。第四届研讨会将在之前三届会议议题的基础上，特别会针对在细胞、组织、个体等不同层面对分子、细胞的动态行为进行解析及操控的相关技术进行讨论，期望展示有助于药物开发、诊断、治疗的新型装置及生物材料，及其产业化价值。其中，细胞、个体内分子动态成像技术（纳米荧光探针的设计、高分辨率显微镜等）、抗肿瘤药等治疗药物的递送技术（纳米粒子设计、动态药物递送系统等）、及有助于药物开发及组织再生的细胞操控技术（单细胞检测、细胞集团间相互作用的研究等）将作为本次会议的焦点。研讨会将围绕纳米医学研究中的重大科学问题与关键技术挑战与日本的研究团队进行深入的交流和探讨，并努力建立合作研究平台。

Nanotechnology is playing more and more roles in various fields. The application of nanotechnology in medical field has formed a new discipline—Nanomedicine, which has led to the development of novel medical technologies in diagnosis and therapies. However, a great of challenges are still on the way to hinder the translation of nanomedicine between benches to bed. In order to overcome the obstacles, it wasproposed by Prof. Lijun Wan, Ning Gu and Prof Urisu to build an international symposium between China and Japan on nanomedicine in 2013. The first China-Japan Symposium on Nanomedicine was held in Nanjing in Sept 20-21, 2013, the second one was held in Hiroshima University in May 14-16, 2014, and the third one was held in Beijing in June 18-20, 2015. Through these symposiums, researchers from both sides have learned each other and exchange research thoughts effectively. Some researchers have planned to develop collaboration relations. . In the background above mentioned, we are going to organize the Fourth Japan-China Symposium on Nanomedicine in Japan in 2016. The issues that will be talked in the next coming symposium include molecular imaging to track events in cells, drug and gene delivery in anti-cancer therapies and detections, biomaterial-based regeneration medicine. The purpose of the symposium is to extend and deepen the academic exchanges and collaborations between China and Japan in Nanomedicine, on the basis of the achievements from the previous symposiums..Expected Results:.(1).Enhance the translation of nanomedicine research from benches to bed .In Japan, the clinical application has been emphasized in nanomedicne researches as well as in other researches. It is necessary to learn from Japanese colleagues, discussing deeply and making collaboration with them to overcome obstacles together in the translation..(2).Establish an platform for continuously academic exchange and collaboration between researchers from the two countries .Researchers in nanomedicine are involved in many different fields, such as materials, physics, chemistry, electronics, pharmaceuticals, biology and medicine. However, platforms specifically for nanomedicine are limited both in China and in Japan. In July 2015, sub-committee of Nanomedicine and Engineering was established under the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering. All participants from China side aremembers of the society, therefore, we are going to build a stable and active relationship between the Nanomedicine and Engineering and the Association of Nanomedicine in Japan, which will provide a base for China side to held the symposium in 2017. .(3).Extend relations between scholars from both sides .In order to keep the Symposium develop continuously and have it become a brand symposium, we are going to discuss the possibility and establish an organization committee in the Fourth Symposium for the future series symposium. This organization committee will enhance the collaboration between researchers from the two sides, encouraging and helping to develop co-proposals and to exchange students and scholars from each side.

“第四届日本-中国纳米医学研讨会”于2016年5月11-14日在日本北九州国际会议中心举行。学术报告主题包括：多功能纳米颗粒在疾病检测与治疗中的应用、基于纳米结构生物功能材料和药物递送系统的组织工程与再生医学研究、高分辨实时细胞和组织成像的纳米技术、外泌体的纳米表征技术及其在肿瘤免疫治疗中的应用等。日方21位报告人来自日本16所大学，中方的报告人来自中国医学科学院、中国科学家院和部分高校共8位中方专家。本项目的实施促进了中日双方在生物医学工程领域的交流，得到了双方专家的高度评价，并促成了多项具体的双边合作研究。
