围绕正常脑老化的规律及轻度认知障碍疾病的发病机制、早期诊断等前沿科学问题,采用结构MRI影像和脑结构形状分析技术,对正常老化和老年脑认知障碍病人的脑皮层、海马的三维形状和脑结构连接开展了深入研究,包括:1)基于脑沟形状分析方法,发现了脑中央沟的老化规律,并绘制了多个功能区脑结构网络连接模式随年龄的变化轨迹;2)基于皮层灰质和海马的三维局部形状度量联合机器学习的方法,发现了认知障碍病人早期脑结构微小的形变;3)开发了基于流形学习的海马自动分割软件,中央沟形状分析软件和老年认知功能评价与训练系统。申请人已在Cerebral Cortex、Journal of Neuroscience、NeuroImage等本学科领域重要期刊发表SCI论文33篇,其中近五年以第一或通讯作者发表SCI论文12篇,获批2项软件著作权,论文被SCI他引170次。本项目拟开展主观认知下降的病理机制及早期诊断的研究。

英文摘要

My research focuses mainly on investigating brain changes in normal aging and patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) by using sophisticated techniques, such as cortical surface analysis, structural covariance network, and hippocampal shape analysis to unravel the mechanisms of normal aging and MCI based on structural MRI images. Specifically, my research works include: 1) developing a surface-based approach to explore the changes of central sulcus in normal aging and demonstrate age-related changes in the topological organization of structural covariance networks, 2) exploring the abnormal changes in cortical surface and hippocampal surface by combining machine learning method and multiple morphological measures, 3) developing a series of tools for the studies of brain complex morphology as well as improving the cognitive function of elderly. Thirty-three papers have been published until now, and twelve papers have been published in the top journals (i.e., Cerebral Cortex, Journal of Neuroscience、Neuroimage) in recent five years. My research performance attracted the interests of scientific community in the neuroimaging field and got their high evaluations. My papers have got 170 citations from peers. I'd like to further investigate the mechanism and early diagnosis of patients with the subjective cognition decline in this project.
