微环境为恶性肿瘤发生发展提供合适土壤。本群体5名学者在中山大学2011肿瘤协同创新中心的框架下,依托中山医学院和华南肿瘤重点实验室,围绕“微环境如何调控恶性肿瘤发生发展”共同关心的问题,开展自然形成的合作。对促癌病原体感染、微环境构成以及肿瘤细胞炎性信号调控机制的研究取得了系列成果。在此基础上,拟进行更高层次的有机整合和优势集成,将以肿瘤免疫学、分子生物学和生物信息学等研究方法,从恶性肿瘤相关病原体感染、微环境间质细胞构成和功能、微环境细胞外基质细胞构成和功能、细胞内炎性信号通路及其相关表观遗传机制等5个不同角度探索微环境调控恶性肿瘤发生发展的机理。本群体包括3名长江学者/3名国自然杰青,近5年在Cancer Cell、Sci Transl Med、J Clin Invest、Nat Commu、PNAS 、Cancer Res等著名杂志共同发表文章,获得国家自然科学二等奖等奖项。

英文摘要

Nowadays, cancer has become a serious threat to our health. Tumor microenvironment provides suitable soil for the development of malignant tumors. In recent years, the five research fellows in this group, including three Cheung Kong Scholars and three Distinguished Young Scholars supported by the National Science Fund, carry out a series of natural collaborative researches to exploring the regulation mechanism of tumor microenvironment on tumor initiation and development. All our researches rely on the common framework of Sun Yat-sen Oncology Collaborative Innovation Center, Zhongshan School of Medical and the State Key Laboratory of Oncology in South China. In the past five years, our members published a series of articles together on several international famous journals, such as Cancer Cell、Sci Transl Med、J Clin Invest、Nat Commu. Our research is widely recognized by international counterparts and achieved the National Natural Science Award in 2015. Based on this, we propose to perform a higher-level of organic integration for further deepen research on the molecular mechanisms in this field. We plan to explore the regulation mechanisms of tumor microenvironment by the following angles, including the tumor associated pathogen infection, tumor stromal cells, tumor extracellular matrix, inflammatory signaling pathway and epigenetic regulation mechanism. We hope to raise some new original theory in this area through our collaborative research and provide new biomarkers and therapeutic targets for the early diagnosis and accurate treatment of malignant tumors.
