Our study group consists of nine professors and doctoral supervisors from the Key Laboratory for Neuroscience, Ministry of Education and the Key Laboratory for Mental Health, Ministry of Health in Peking University Health Science Center, including three Chang Jiang Scholars, three National Outstanding Youth Fund winners, and two 973 Programm Chief Scientists. The group members constituted an innovative team and undertook a number of projects including the 973 programm, and have made outstanding achievements in research of neural plasticity mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disease. During the past three years, we have published 51 papers in SCI journals such as Nat Commun, Biol Psychiatry, PNAS, Schizophr Bul, Neuropsychopharmacology. The research achievements have been awarded the first prize of Scientific Research in Natural Science of Universities in 2013, the second prize of China Medical Science and Technology Progress Award in 2015 and the second Award for Nation Science Development in 2014.Based on previous work, our group plans to further investigate “neural plasticity mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders” in the aspect of neural circuit, molecular mechanism, environment and gene regulation and physiological function. We aim to make great original academic achievements in three to five years, to attract and foster new academic leaders and leading talents, and to form a research team with international impact in the field of neural plasticity.
