广头叶蝉亚科Macropsinae是半翅目叶蝉科一个较为原始的类群,全世界已知17属640余种,在世界各地均有分布,中国已知7属105种。该类昆虫外形奇特、系统地位重要,但由于缺乏对广头叶蝉全面系统的区系、分类研究,属级单元之间的亲缘关系并不明确,不少属、种需要厘订,近半数雌性标本难以鉴定、难与雄性配对,严重制约着世界叶蝉科系统分类研究。本项目将对中国广头叶蝉进行全面系统研究,拟在现有基础上,综合运用比较形态学、分子生物学、动物地理学等研究方法,获取相关特征、信息、资料和证据,廓清我国广头叶蝉亚科区系,对疑难属种进行准确鉴定,明确属的鉴别特征,订正已知分类单元,并解决雌性标本鉴定难、配对难的问题。为叶蝉科系统分类提供科学资料和方法,丰富世界叶蝉区系,促进世界叶蝉科系统分类研究。
英文摘要
The subfamily Macropsinae is a primitive group of the Cicadellidae (Hemiptera) and distribute in all the zoogeographical regions. There are more than 17 genera and 640 known species worldwide with 7 genera and 105 species in China so far. They have distinctive appearance and take a very important systematic status in the family but their systematic research has been seriously restricted due to lacking study on fauna, taxonomy and biodiversity so that the relationship among genera are still unclear and many taxa need to be revised; nearly half specimens are female but they are not easy to be identified as male genitalia is the key character for identification of genera and species, and it is not easy to get female specimen being matched to its male. The study will clarify the Chinese macropsine fauna, revise the known genera and species, identify and match females to male of each species by using methods of comparative morphology, molecular biology, zoogeography. Moreover, the results will also provide useful method and data to the systematic study of the family Cicadellidae, add knowledge to the world leafhoppers fauna to promote the research on leafhopper systematics.
