随着全球的气候变化及生态环境的日趋恶化,生物多样性保护越来越受到世界各国的重视。作为植物进化过程中的关键类群,苔藓植物在环境指示和维持生态系统平衡方面发挥着极其重要的作用,但由于对环境变化极度敏感因而也面临着比其它植物更大的威胁,应该尽早进行保护。为了保护中国濒危苔藓植物,本项目拟以中国濒危苔藓植物红色名录为基础,通过广泛的野外调查和取样,获得濒危类群的标本及地理分布信息;通过孢子的表面纹饰观察及孢子、无性繁殖体的生理抗性实验,分析其传播性能并据此甄别濒危种类;通过匹配濒危种类地理分布与现有保护区的重合度,分析其野外保护状况;对野外生境遭受严重破坏、传播性能又差的种类,拟采用超低温保存技术对其配子体、无性繁殖体及孢子进行长期保存研究。本研究不仅对濒危苔藓植物的保护具有重要意义,还可以加深我们对濒危物种致濒机制的理解,并将此方法运用到对其它孢子植物濒危类群的甄别与保护中。

With the change of global climate and the deterioration of ecological environment, biodiversity conservation is therefore increasingly valued by more and more countries. As a key group in plant evolution, bryophytes play a very important role in environmental indication and maintaining ecosystem balance. However, as the reason of being highly sensitive to the changing of the environment, bryophytes, are hence facing greater threat than other plants and should be protected as soon as possible. In order to protect Chinese endangered bryophytes, based on the Red List of Endangered Bryophytes of China, this project aims to obtain specimens and distribution information of endangered bryophytes through extensive investigation and collection. According to the ornamentation of spores and physiological resistance test of spores and asexual reproductive organs, we will analyze its dispersal capacities and thereby screen for endangered bryophytes. By analyzing the congruence of its geographical distribution with existing protected areas in China, we will understand the status of in situ conservation of endangered species. For the species which habitat has been destroyed more seriously and with poor dispersal capacities, we will conduct the study of cryopreservation of gametophytes, asexual reproductive organs and spores of these endangered bryophytes. The results of this study are not only significantly important for the protection of these endangered bryophytes, but also will shed some lights on the understanding of the endangered mechanisms of endangered species. And then, we can apply this method to the screening and conservation of other endangered cryptogam.
