蛋白质功能紊乱在疾病发生、发展中起着重要作用。在不同的生理和病变过程中,改变的不仅仅是蛋白质的种类和数量,功能蛋白翻译后修饰的改变也起了非常重要的作用。这些修饰对改变蛋白功能、活性、降解或定位都起着关键的调节作用,参与了细胞信号传导、细胞增殖、分化、凋亡、DNA修复、转录调控、发育以及正常生理调节等几乎所有生物学过程。因此,系统地研究蛋白质翻译后修饰的分子调控机制能使我们找到更有效的肿瘤诊治方法和手段。本研究群体将在以往工作基础上,从分子生物学和基础医学的各个学科、以不同角度、在不同层次上研究“蛋白质翻译后修饰与肿瘤发生发展的分子机制”,争取在三至五年内取得具有重大影响的原创学术成果,着重培养年青的学科带头人和领军人才,形成有国际知名度的肿瘤学研究团队。
英文摘要
The disturbance of protein functions plays an important role in the development of disease. During the course of the physiology or pathology on human beings, not proteins amount only, but also changes in proteins posttranslational modifications play a critical role in the process. These posttranslational modifications of the proteins control protein functions, activities, degradation and cellular localization, by which take part in cellular signaling pathway, cellular proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, DNA repair, transcription regulation, development and physiological modulations. Therefore, based on the previous experiments and knowledge, it will let us look for more effective methods and technology to treat cancers. This group will work together to study the mechanism of protein posttranslational modifications on development of tumor in different angel by different aspects (from the molecular biology to various area of basic medicine). We will create original discoveries, and educate several younger scientists and let them become potential leaders of Chinese biological sciences within the next 3-5 years. We hope the plan will make us as famous team in the tumor research area in the world.
