由中国科学院武汉病毒研究所、《自然-微生物》杂志、中国免疫学会及中国微生物学会病毒学专业委员会联合主办的“病毒感染与免疫应答国际研讨会”定于2016年10月21-23日在武汉召开。病毒疾病严重危害着人民的健康和生命，相关研究已成为生命科学的热点和重点。感染与免疫是理解急性和慢性病毒病的基础，而理解病毒的免疫发病机制是应对病毒感染的关键之处。在此背景下，病毒感染与免疫应答国际研讨会将进一步加强国内外病毒学领域研究人员的学术交流和合作。本次会议旨在将国内外杰出病毒学家、免疫学家、临床医学专家等聚集在一起，共同探讨病毒感染与免疫相关领域的前沿动态与最新进展、病毒病的预防与控制以及治疗的新策略和新方法，为所有参会者提供一个开放的、高质量的学术交流平台。

Nature-IOV Symposium on Viral Infection and Immune Response (VIIR), jointly hosted by Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nature Microbiology, Chinese Society for Immunology and Committee on Virology, Chinese Society for Microbiology, will be held on Oct 21-23, 2016 in Wuhan, China. The viral diseases have been a threat to human health, and the relevant studies have become one of the hotspots of life science. Infection and immunity are the fundamentals to understand both acute and chronic viral diseases. To understand viral immunopathogenesis is the key to counteract viral infection. Under this background, VIIR Symposium will further improve the levels of academic exchanges and cooperation between researchers studying in virus home and abroad. By bringing together leading international virologists, imminologists and specialists in clinical medicine to explore emerging themes and new progresses in viral infection and immune response, and providing promising venues for immune interventions, this symposium will offer an open and high-class platform of academic exchanges.
