人类生殖健康日益成为国际关注的热点,但目前尚有许多难点未解决，因而，生殖基础及临床医学研究是生殖与发育生物学的研究焦点。中科院动物所干细胞与生殖生物学国家重点实验室是国家重大科学研究计划“发育与生殖研究”两个重点基地之一。2010 年、2012 年、和2014年，该实验室曾经三次成功主办“SKLRB Symposia”，极大地提升了我国在国际生殖生物学界和生殖医学界的影响。拟于2016 年召开的第四次研讨会将在传统的生殖生物学议题的基础上，进一步扩展出生殖生物学研究前沿技术，以及干细胞临床应用等议题，已经确定接受邀请的国外一流的科学家20 人。这一高端交流平台将极大地推进我国生殖生物学的基础和临床研究与国际接轨，为新时期国家在相关领域的科技规划进一步凝练科学问题，切实扩大我国在国际生殖生物学界的影响。

Reprodutive disease become one of the most serious diseases which affect many couples. For successful reproduction, a plethora of events including gametogenesis, ovulation, fertilization, implantation, and placentation requires precise regulation; the success of each go-ahead event is dependent on the accomplishment of the preceding event. Research on these events and their coordination has been translated into clinical practice, particularly for enhancing successes in fertility clinics, controlling gynecological diseases and developing contraceptives. However, the underlying mechanisms are still unclear. SRB is the only national center for basic research in reproductive biology in China. It has been a pioneer in China in promoting basic research, national and international collaborations. Our Key lab has successfully held the 1th, 2nd and, 3rd SKLRB Symposia in 2010, 2012, and 2014. The 4th symposium entitled “SKLRB Symposia on Frontiers in Reproductive Biology” will be held in Beijing in October, 2016. About 20 well known scientists from USA, UK, austrlia et al., have accepted the invitation and will attend this meeting. This symposium is aimed at bringing in distinguished scientists in the field to exchange and discuss cutting edge basic and translational investigations pertaining to modern reproductive biology in various model systems. The meeting is intended to provide a forum for extensive exchange and sharing of new information and development in the area, and to develop better communication among scientists across the world.
