英文摘要
End-use quality of wheat is mainly determined by high-molecular-weight glutenin subunit (HMW-GS). A set of near-isogenic lines (NILs) with single HMW-GS deletion was developed by EMS-induced and backcross method on Ningmai 9 background, which was characterized with typical weak-gluten quality. Based on the NILs, field trials will be conducted with nitrogen application rate and splitting pattern. The dynamic change of HMW-GS gene expression, the quantity of HMW-GS, and the quality and quantity of glutenin polymeric protein will be investigated. Dough rheological properties and end-use quality of harvested grain will be also evaluated. This project will clarify the mechanism of the effect of HMW-GS deletion on weak-gluten wheat quality under different nitrogen application regimes. The results will provide theoretical basis and methodology for making use of HMW-GS deletion in weak gluten wheat production.
