The applicant has committed himself to scientific research for a long time in the field of sports system injury and regeneration. He has published a series of tendon related papers (26 total, average Impact factor is approximately 5.86, 425 times are cited by others, highest 98 times, H index 13). 7 of which are first or corresponding author papers, while 7 of which are co-first or co-corresponding author papers (average Impact factor is approximately 6.23). .His major achievements are: 1. Found a new tendon differentiation model and recover new mechanism of tendon differentiation: we first report that we induced the pluripotent stem cells into tenocytes, proved that embryonic cells are more suitable for tendon tissue engineering, established in vitro scaffold-free tendon tissue engineering model, found that transcription factor and mechanical stress have synergetic function on tendon differentiation ; 2. Fabricated functional tendon scaffold: we used knitted silk scaffold with proper mechanical strength and internal spaces for tissue growth. Based on these work, he gained YIA of the international tendon/ligament conference in 2010. He also gained the second prize of the Natural Science Award of ministry of education..Based on these earlier work, this project will explore the mechanisms of tendon differentiation stage , as well as the stage specific tendon differentiation induction methods, according to the tendon development stage and sequential gene expression profile during stem cells differentiation.
