青枯菌是世界范围内最重要的植物病原细菌之一,其分布范围极为广泛,每年对农业生产均造成巨大经济损失。由于对青枯菌致病机理缺乏系统认识,因而很难进行针对性的防治新技术研发。本项目将针对青枯菌的两类重要信号系统: 群体感应和胞内环二鸟苷酸信号开展基础理论和应用研究。具体研究内容包括: 青枯菌新型群体感应信号的鉴定及信号通路研究、环二鸟苷酸信号生物学功能及信号调控通路研究、群体感应和环二鸟苷酸信号调控网络对病原菌致病性的调控机制研究、群体感应信号和环二鸟苷酸信号抑制剂的设计制备等。本项目的成功实施, 将为全面了解群体感应与环二鸟苷酸信号在青枯菌致病过程中的关键作用,为青枯病的有效防治提供理论和实践依据。
英文摘要
Ralstonia solanacearum is one of the most important plant pathogens around the world. It distributes widely in many regions and causes a huge damage in agriculture every year. It is difficult to develop new strategies for prevention and therapy of the diseases caused by R. solanacearum due to the limited knowledge of the bacterial pathogenesis. In this study, we will carry out a fundamental research in theory and application on the two important signaling systems: quorum sensing and c-di-GMP signal. The detailed research contents include study of: chemical structure and signaling pathways of the novel quorum sensing signal, biological functions and signaling pathways of c-di-GMP signal, regulatory mechanism of the signaling network of quorum sensing and c-di-GMP signal controlling the bacterial pathogenicity, design and synthesis of signal inhibitors of quorum sensing and c-di-GMP signal. The successful fulfilling of this project will definitely promote our full understanding of the vital roles of quorum sensing and c-di-GMP signal in the pathogenicity of R. solanacearum, and then provide a strong basis in theory and application for effective control of the diseases caused by the plant pathogen.
