小夜蛾族(Micronoctuini)昆虫是目前裳蛾科中分类学地位最不稳定类群之一,在夜蛾总科系统发育中占有独特地位。当前对该族缺乏完善的分类系统,虽然目前与拟髯须夜蛾族(Hypenodini)为并系群,但是与涓夜蛾亚科Rivulinae和Boletobiinae等亚科的许多族特征上存在交叉,致使其分类学研究受到很大局限,特别是亚族、属级阶元界限上非常混乱,亟需进行系统地厘定和体系的进一步探讨研究。由于该族昆虫个体微小、采集、制作困难、近似种类繁多、种群认识不足等问题存在,导致鉴定错误和学名混淆等问题经常出现,从而使调查研究等工作受到很大的局限。本项目将运用形态分类学和分子生物学相结合的方法,对该族进行系统整理和修订,探讨其系统发育关系和分类体系;建立DNA分子分类数据库、发现新属种。本项目实施,对中国和世界夜蛾总科昆虫的分类和鉴定,以及生物多样性的研究等工作具有重要意义。
英文摘要
The tribe Micronoctuini plays a particular role in the phylogenic study of Noctuoidea because its taxonomic status is the most unstable among the Family Erebidae. Until now there is no complete taxonomic study to the tribe, although Micronoctuini is paraphyletic to the tribe Hypenodini, it has common characteristics with several tribes belonging to subfamilies Rivulinae, Boletobiinae, and some other subfamilies. This caused confusions between subtribes and genera, which greatly limited research and development of taxonomy. Furthermore, misidentifications and incorrect records plus confused scientific names are general owing to the tiny size, difficulties in collecting and slide-mounting specimens, presence of many similar species in morphology, and insufficient recognition to species population. Thus, this project aims to conduct a systematic review to the tribe Micronoctuini, discuss the phylogenetic relationships and reasonable taxonomic system according with natural evolution, establish DNA classification database, and discover new species using morphologic and molecular methods combined based on materials and experiences of years. The implement of this project will be of great significance to not only classification of Noctuoidea domestically and internationally, but also research of global biological diversity.
