柏科植物的起源和演化历史尚不明确,是当前古植物学家和植物生物学家研究的热点之一。内蒙古固阳盆地早白垩世地层富含植物化石,但缺乏对植物化石系统而深入的研究。本项目拟以固阳盆地早白垩世地层中种类丰富、保存良好的柏科植物化石为研究对象,对其营养器官和繁殖器官的形态学和解剖学特征进行详细地对比分析,在此基础上进行植物的整体重建,确定其自然分类位置和分类属性;分析研究区柏科植物的多样性,并结合其他同时代的化石记录,进一步认识早白垩世柏科植物的面貌和多样性;将研究区的柏科化石和其他时代的柏科化石以及相关的现代柏科植物类群结合起来,从纵向上综合地分析和探讨柏科植物的起源和演化历史。该项目的开展,旨在提高研究区早白垩世柏科植物的分类学研究水平,揭示研究区柏科植物的系统分类属性和多样性特征,对全面认识柏科植物的起源和演化历史进程具有重要的科学意义。
英文摘要
The origin and evolution history of Cupressaceae are still ambiguous, which is one of hot research for palaeobotanists and plant biologists. Plant fossils are abundant in the Early Cretaceous of the Guyang Basin in Inner Mongolia, but the fossil floras lack of thoroughly research. This project will focus on the abundant and well-preserved Cupressaceae plant fossils from the Lower Cretaceous of the Guyang Basin. Specifically, this project will carry out a detailed study of taxonomy, whole-plant reconstruction and natural classification based on the morphological features and microstructures of vegetative and reproductive organs of the Cupressaceae plant fossils. Based on the present fossils and other contemporary fossil records, the diversity of Cupressaceae plant during the Early Cretaceous will be known further. Combining with other Cupressaceae fossils and relevant modern Cupressaceae, this project will comprehensively analyze the origin and evolution history of Cupressaceae. This project aims at enchancing the systematic study level of the Early Cretaceous Cupressaceae fossils in the Guyang Basin, and revealing system attribute classification and diversity of the Early Cretaceous Cupressaceae. This study has important scientific significance for knowing the origin and evolution history of Cupressaceae.
