我国生命科学发展正处于跨越的关键时期，研究和制定遗传学与生物信息学发展战略规划明确优先资助领域是国家自然基金等科研计划的迫切需求。本项目拟通过国内外调研，了解国家重大需求相关的重要科学问题，把握国际遗传学与生物信息学发展的前沿，提出“十三五”期间我国遗传学与生物信息学战略目标、整体思路、优先资助领域和重大交叉领域，为我国未来生物学的发展提供必要依据和支撑。

To study and formulate the genetics and bioinformatics development strategic plan is the urgent demand of NSFC projects funding strategy during the critical period of biological development prior to the thirteenth national five-year development plan.Based onprofound investigation and study, this project is aimed to navigatethe futuredirections of genetics and bioinformaticsresearch, specifically provideguidlines forthe funding strategies of priorities field, major field and cross field,so as to promotethe future development of biology.

本项目组织7名遗传学与生物信息学领域专家，通过深入调研和会议研讨，在把握世界科技发展动态的前提下从学科的内在规律出发，提出了18个“十三五”期间遗传学与生物信息学优先发展方向、完成2.1万字的《“十三五”遗传学与生物信息学战略发展研究报告》，并根据要求按时提交基金委生命科学部。
