The rapid urbanization, industrialization and expansion of urban construction led to a large amount of the remaining patches in the city where the plaque, which includes both the extreme fragmentation of the original plaque and fresh one because of the urban production metabolism, especially natural habitat patches are more obvious. Therefore the research is necessary and urgent. .Based on the ecological survey of urban remaining plaque and the contemporary urbanization characteristic, to define connotation of the urban residual plaque, extension, types, characteristics and impact factors, evaluate the fragmentation process of urban remaining patches and the relationship with artificial interference. And to repair and activate the urban remaining patches, from the macro, meso and microscopic three scales, based on three layers of the overall top restoration of eco-planning, process repair of lifecycle management, node restoration of eco-project underlying moderate disturbance, the two levels of integrated theory guidance and technical guarantee, and three dimensions of the continuous nature, cost -control economy, civil society participation, which is the way of urban ecological civilization and sustainable development .
