青步甲族是步甲科中最常见的类群之一,为农林害虫的重要天敌昆虫。中国有该族步甲5个属120多种,由于缺乏系统的研究,种类经常误定误用,比较混乱。本项目利用丰富的青步甲馆藏标本材料,并借阅国外的模式和定名标本,通过解剖和形态比较的方法,结合野外观察的生物学特性和室内分子系统学证据,对青步甲族进行系统分类研究。首先依据模式标本和定名标本对中国青步甲的种类进行准确的鉴定,利用雄性外生殖器内囊特征、外部形态特征、生物学习性差异和分子生物学证据对有疑问的属、亚属和物种进行订正。在此基础上,编制中国青步甲分属、分亚属和分种检索表,对物种进行拍照和描述,编纂《中国青步甲生态图谱》、《中国青步甲族分类》专著。项目的研究结果将为步甲生物多样性研究提供基础材料。
英文摘要
Chlaeniini is one most common carabid beetles, and plays an important role in natural control. There are over 120 species belonging to 5 genera of Chlaeniini in China so far. Because of poor systematic study on them, their species names are often mistakenly determined and used in scientific papers or reports. In present project, relying on rich collection of Chlaeniini at our museum, and types and non-type named specimens from abroad museums, we dissect the specimens of different species, compare their morphological features, observe biological characters, analysize DNA sequences, and then make a full review for Chlaeniini species. The endophallus of male genitalia are strongly employed in present systematic research. Phylogenetic analysis of Chlaeniini is conduct based on multiple genes, morphological and biological characters to test the monophyly and relationships of genera and subgenera. The keys to genera, to subgenera and to species will be provided, and two monographs on “Ecological Atlas of Chinese Chlaeniini”, on “Taxonomy of Chinese Chlaeniini” will be compiled. These results will pave a basic ground for carabid biodiversity research.
