本项目通过对贵州野生杜鹃群落中种类组成、结构和外貌、动态特征等进行调查，分析野生杜鹃群落的数量特征包括物种丰富度、多度和密度、优势度、重要值等指标，重点对不同生境的典型高山杜鹃群落存在的天然更新障碍的内因进行深入研究，为我国野生杜鹃群落的原产地保护提供科学依据。采用HPLC等分析群落植物中的次生代谢物质，研究群落中次生代谢物质对灌木层和地被层植物种子发芽的化感作用，从机理上研究杜鹃群落中次生代谢物质及光照、温湿度、土壤对天然更新的障碍及作用强度的变化，全面评价杜鹃群落天然更新状况，揭示次生代谢物质等因子在杜鹃群落更新中的化学调控机理。为解决野生杜鹃群落天然更新障碍问题，实现林区的可持续经营，在理论上和实践上都具有重要的理论参考价值及实践意义。

This project through the communities investigates of wild Rhododendron species composition, structure, appearance, and the dynamic characteristics.
