申请人张红斌,丹麦哥本哈根大学生物医学系副教授,长期从事脂肪细胞与肥胖及其相关代谢性疾病防治的研究,特别是在棕色脂肪细胞分化发育过程中的信号传导和基因调控方面,在知名科学期刊Nature Medicine, PNAS, Mol Endoc, JBC, MCB 等发表文章10余篇。最近,以第一兼通讯作者发现了首个棕色脂肪选择性表达的miR-455(发表于EMBOR 2015,IF 9.055)。主持丹麦王国科学基金5项,共450万丹麦克朗。..国内合作者关美萍主任医师,曾与申请者共同在美国哈佛大学医学院Joslin糖尿病中心做microRNA与棕色脂肪分化的工作,从事棕色脂肪分化发育与肥胖及代谢病防治的研究,近2年发表SCI 收录论文11篇,其中一作5篇,主编专著2部,主持国家自然科学基金2项。.双方自2012年始合作研究,在本课题中拟构建全脂肪及棕色脂肪特异性miR-455基因敲除的2种动物模型,分析其代谢表型,并对成人不同部位脂肪组织miR-455表达及其基因SNP分析,以明确miR-455是否为棕色脂肪分化所必须及其在成人肥胖防治中的重要作用。

Dr. Hongbin Zhang, associate professor in Department of Biomedical Sciences at Faculty of Health Sciences at University of Copenhagen in Denmark, has long been engaged in the molecular and biological study of adipocytes, obesity and diabetes. Particularly, his researches focus on the signal transduction, modulation of gene expression and the role of microRNAs during white and brown adipogenesis, and had substantial achievements. He had 3 publications as the first or corresponding authors in JBC, MCB and EMBOR, and more than 10 publications as coauthors in Nature Medicine, PNAS, and Mol Endoc, etc. Particularly, Dr. Zhang discovered the first brown-fat-highly-selective miR-455 as a novel regulator of brown adipogenesis and thermogenic program (EMBOR 2015,IF9.055), which paved the way of treating obesity and diabetes with microRNA-based oligo therapy. Dr. Zhang has successfully carried out a number of projects funded by internationally well-known research foundations, including Novonordisk Foundation and Lundbeck Foundation. The total funding amounts to 450 million Danish Kroner (DKK)...Dr. Meiping Guan is a chief-physician at the Department of Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University, Guangdong, China. She had been a postdoctoral research fellow in Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School, USA during 2012~2013. Her research focus on brown adipogenesis in combating obesity and its related diseases, e.g. diabetes, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular diseases, etc. She has published 11 papers on international issues. She achieved 2 National Natural Science Funds and 1 Guangdong Province science technique Fund. Dr. Guan is vice-president of Youth committee of Endocrinology Branch of Guangdong Medical Association, member of Youth Committee of the Chinese Endocrinologist Association, member of the standing committee of Diabetes Branch of Guangdong Medical Association, secretary and member of the standing committee of Endocrinologist Branch of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association...Dr. Zhang and Dr. Guan has had close collaborations in the study of microRNAs in brown adipogenesis, and recently published the attractive story of miR-455 in brown adipogenesis in EMBOR. Currently, Dr. Zhang and Prof. Guan are collaborating on generating fat-specific miR-455 knockout mouse model, and exploring the relationship between miR-455 expression and human obesity.
