植物体内的生长素水平主要取决于其生物合成和代谢两方面的动态平衡,它们一起形成复杂的网络。植物体内存在多条生长素合成途径,目前除IPA途径外,对生长素的合成及其调控的了解还很少。前期通过正向遗传学方法筛选分离得到若干生长素缺陷突变体ckrc2-ckrc6,其中ckrc3突变体表现典型的低生长素表型。基因克隆、遗传等位分析和分子互补实验证明相关基因编码的CKRC3蛋白为一个推测的乙酰化酶复合体的一个亚基,可能参与对新合成蛋白的N-末端氨基酸进行乙酰化。由于目前尚未有蛋白N-alpha-乙酰化参与内源生长素合成或代谢调控的报导,本项目拟对CKRC3在维持拟南芥内源生长素稳态方面行使功能的机理进行研究。

Auxin is the first discovered plant hormone and controls almost every aspects of plant growth and development. Auxin levels within the plant is primarily determined by the balance between its biosynthesis and metabolism. There are multiple pathways for auxin biosynthesis and metabolism, forming a complex web, for which we are still far from forming a clear picture. We previously isolated an auxin-deficient mutant ckrc3, and the CKRC3 gene encodes the auxiliary subunit of the NatB complex that may be functioning for the N-α-terminal acetylation of proteins. The aim of this project is to study the functional roles of CKRC3 in controlling auxin biosynthesis or metabolism.
