藁本属作为伞形科分类系统中一个重要的分类群，因属内种类组成复杂、种间关系不清，属的外缘即与其它属的关系模糊而成为伞形科系统分类学中的研究难题。本研究拟在已有的研究基础上，通过对中国的藁本属及相关类群广泛取样，借助形态学和分子生物学的研究手段探讨其与近缘类群之间的关系，建立一个更为合理的中国藁本属属下分类系统；由于历史原因和地区性差异，人们对药用藁本类植物的认知和使用不尽相同，容易造成误用，我们将运用近年来迅速发展起来的DNA条形码研究手段，厘清各自种源，以指导民间的日常用药；同时基于可靠的分子系统树并结合产地、药用成分等信息，寻找可能的替代种源。

Ligusticum, as an important taxonomic group within the family of Apiaceae, has uncertain circumscription and confused species relationships. In this study, through expanded sampling, we will clarify its phylogenetic relationships with presumed relatives and rebuild a new reasonable infra-genus classification by combining morphological and molecular evidence. Meanwhile, due to the morphological similarities,historical and regional differences, medicinal Ligusticum species among different regions are frequently misused, we will use the rapidly developed technique of DNA barcoding to authenticate the true Ligusticum,supplying identified method for the local people. Finally, on the base of clear phylogenetic relationships,distribution information and chemical constituents, we will try to exploit possible substitutes for the true Ligusticum.
