麻蝇属Sarcophaga隶属于双翅目Diptera有瓣类Calyptratae麻蝇科Sarcophagidae,是有瓣蝇类中的第一大属,为典型的爆发式适应辐射类群,也是重要的媒介、法医、天敌和实验昆虫,具有重要的进化生物学研究价值。但该类群物种多、外形相似、尾器复杂,一直是蝇类系统学研究中的难题。我国是麻蝇属昆虫物种多样性最高的地区。本项目以我国麻蝇属昆虫为研究对象,1)以整合分类学研究思路,修订我国麻蝇属已知物种,探明新的分类阶元,构建形态和DNA分类数据库;2)以显微和超显微相结合的研究方法,补充、筛选形态特征,探讨特征演化趋势,为物种鉴定和系统发育研究提供依据;3)以形态和分子数据相结合的研究手段,重建系统发育关系,验证各亚属的单系性,界定各亚属的属征,明确各亚属间亲缘关系,揭示麻蝇属起源、物种形成和适应辐射机制,同时可为有瓣蝇类的适应与演化研究提供重要佐证。

As the most speciose genus of Calyptratae, Sarcophaga (Diptera: Sarcophagidae) is a sound example for a super-radiation of significant evolutionary importance, which also serves as a crucial intermediate, forensic indicator, natural enemy and experimental insect. Because of their numerous species, similar habitus and complicated genitalia, the phylogeny of the genus Sarcophaga has long been a great challenge. Sarcophaga has its highest diversity in China. The project is going to investigate the genus Sarcophaga in the fauna of China to 1) revise the Sarcophaga species through integrated-taxonomy, identifying new taxa and establishing morphological and DNA database; 2) enrich and select characters using microscopy and ultramicroscopy, discussing the evolutionary trend of their morphological states; 3) reconstruct phylogeny by combining morphological and molecular information, defining the monophyly, diagnosis and systematic relationships of all subgenera. Revealing the origin, speciation and adaptive radiation of Sarcophaga in China will therefore provide pivotal evidence for adaptation and evolution of Calyptratae.
