维吾尔医学历史悠久，具有鲜明的地域特色。刺糖为豆科骆驼刺属植物骆驼刺的分泌糖粒，是传统的维吾尔民间药物。在新疆来源丰富，价格低廉，维吾尔医将之与其它药材配伍，用于治疗痢疾、腹泻、胃脘胀痛、血尿、糖尿病及小孩便秘等疾病。是用于滋补强壮和平衡体液、润肠通便、调节内分泌的常见验方，至今普遍使用。目前，其研究仅为成分分析阶段，药效方面的研究鲜见报道，实验动物体内作用机制的研究未见报道。本研究就刺糖对实验动物在体和离体小肠平滑肌收缩功能研究的基础上，从受体水平和消化液成分改变来研究刺糖调节胃肠平滑肌功能的机制。进一步深入了解刺糖的药效学特点，尤其是防治幼畜胃肠道疾病中推广应用提供理论依据。为进一步开发新疆兽用维吾尔药材奠定基础。
