香榧是我国珍贵多用途经济干果树种和栽培效益最高的山地经济林树种,在当前氮沉降和经营性施肥的双重作用下,其产量和品质明显下降,是当前香榧产业发展面临的一大难题。施加生物炭在改良土壤、提高土壤pH值、提高养分利用效率、增强植物生产力方面具有独特作用,已被越来越多地运用到修复土壤、提高作物产量等方面,日益受到关注。本项目拟研究氮沉降对香榧产量和品质的影响,以及施加生物炭对氮沉降效应的缓解作用,并从光合作用、叶绿素荧光、叶片叶绿素含量、游离氨基酸和可溶性蛋白质含量、保护酶活性、叶片和根系的化学计量特征等生理因素和土壤理化性质、养分状况、土壤微生物和土壤酶的变化等土壤因素角度揭示氮沉降、生物炭及其两者复合作用于香榧产量和品质的内在机理。研究结果不仅可以为全球环境变化背景下提高香榧产量和品质提供科学依据和指导,同时也可为全面认识氮沉降和生物炭的生态效应、促进我国经济林产业的健康发展提供新的视角和参考。

Torreya grandis cv.merrillii is a precious and multipurpose tree species with the best cultivation benefits in economic forest in mountainous region. The yield and quality of T.merrillii tend to decline due to nitrogen (N) deposition and fertilizer application. Biochar addition may improve the nutrient utilization, promote plant growth, and increase soil carbon storage, which plays an important role in mitigating climate change and thus receives increasing attention. In this project, we intend to investigate the change of yield and quality of T.merrillii under different level of N deposition and biochar addition. The dynamics of photosynthesis, Chlorophyll Fluorescence, chlorophyll content, free amino acid, soluble protein, and protective enzyme activity of T.merrillii leaf, and physicochemical property, nutrient status, microorganism and enzyme activity of soil will be observed to reveal the underlying process mechanism of N deposition and biochar addition effects on yield and quality of T.merrillii. This study will contribute to the comprehensive understand on ecological benefits of N deposition and biochar addition and provide a new perspective and reference to promote the sound development of economic forest industry in China.
