The coarse woody debris (CWD) is the important structural and functional elements of forest ecosystem, and it is playing the vital role in maintaining the ecosystem integrity, and also exerts the significant and unique impact ecology function in the forest ecosystem. The project will take the CWD as the research object and investigate its form, reserve volumes and composite rules in the Sejila Mountain in Tibet Plateau, and also study its storage capacity of Carbon and nutrients. Through the project implementation, we will reveal the reserves of the storage characteristic, decomposition levels and spatial distribution patterns and ecological functions of the fir forest in the Sejila Mountain, and it will provide a scientific basis for the biological resources reasonable using, its ecological value playing, region ecological stability and forest sustainable development.
