糖代谢稳态是维持机体生存和健康的必要基础;糖稳态失衡是包括胰岛素抵抗和2型糖尿病等多种重要代谢疾病的共同病生理基础。胰岛素是体内最重要的糖代谢调节激素,其产生和作用的正常是糖代谢稳态调节的基础,因此对其产生细胞-胰岛β细胞的研究和对其发挥作用的外周组织胰岛素信号通路的研究一直是糖代谢研究领域的重点。本课题组将在前期工作的基础上,利用动物模型及分子生物学技术,重点研究:1)胰岛β细胞量对控制糖代谢稳态的作用及调控机制;2)氨基酸水平对胰岛细胞量、胰岛素分泌及机体胰岛素敏感性的调控机制。本项目的实施将为糖代谢稳态调节机制的阐明提供帮助,也将为揭示胰岛素抵抗和糖尿病的发生和发展的机理提供依据。

Regulation networks in glucose metabolism is fundamental for the control of ennergy metabolism and health. Unbalance of metabolic control of glucose is basis of common diseases, including insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes and other metabolic diseases. Insulin is the most important glucose metabolic-regulating hormones. The regulation of pancreatic β-cell proliferation and functions, and the the precise functions of insulin signaling pathway in peripheral tissue have been the focus of glucose metabolism research. Our group will use animal models and molecular biology techniques, focus on: 1) Pancreatic β cells mass control and the regulation of glucose homeostasis; 2) The relationship between amino acid and proliferation of pancreatic β cell, insulin secretion and insulin sensitivity. Our work will reveal the roles of critical factors and pathways in regulation network of glucose metabolism and provide theraputic targets for treatment of type 2 diabete.
