1) Studies on Actinomycetal systematic and taxonomic More than 210 actinomycetal strains, with exceptive morphological properties, physiological characteristics, abilities to producing bioactive metabolic products, and potential applications, were studied using polyphasic taxonomic approaches of actinomycetes . It was that one novel family (Yaniaceae fam. nov), five novel genera (Yania, Myceligenerans, Jiangella, Naxibacter, Alkalibacillus)and 34 novel species were discovered and the results were published in the international journal, "International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology (IJSEM)".2) Established isolation methods used for rare actinomycetes More than 1,000 samples were collected from Yunnan, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Tibet etc.. At least 15000 actinomycetal strains were isolated and about 5000 strains were preserved. Compared with the different isolation methods, such as sample pretreatment, antibiotics and medium etc., some of the effective isolation methods were designed for isolating rare actinomycetes . 3) Established and perfected modern taxonomic methods of Actinomycete The modern taxonomic methods of Actinomycete were perfected, such as analyzing phospholipids, major menaquinones, cellular fatty acids and so on. The Rapid identify methods for rare actinomycetes were confirmed.

1)通过放线菌系统学研究,发现了一批新属种 利用现代放线菌多项分类的手段,对210多株生物活性物质产生菌、形态特殊或生理特性特殊的稀有放线菌进行了系统分类学研究。发现了放线菌1个新科,5个新属和 34个新种,并在国际权威刊物发表。2)进一步完善稀有放线菌的分离方法 从云南、新疆、青海、西藏等地采集了1千多份样品,分离放线菌1万5千多株,保存了近5000株菌。通过对样品预处理和培养基设计等方面的研究,获得了稀有放线菌分离的有效方法。3)建立完善现代放线菌分类研究方法和手段 建立完善了磷脂、甲基萘醌、脂肪酸分析和DNA杂交等现代放线菌分类研究的方法和手段,建立了部分稀有放线菌的快速鉴定方法。利用 16S rRNA基因序列高可变区二级结构的图形差异,探索分类新方法。4)科研成果 本项目共发表论文63篇,其中SCI 34篇,累计影响因子约110;出版《放线菌现代生物学与生物技术》(科学出版社,北京,2004)专著一部;申请发明专利7项,其中部分成果参与获得云南省自然科学奖一等奖"放线菌资源研究"。
